A trip to Thrissur is incomplete without eating out. And if you are a non-vegetarian, the options are many. From beef to pork and fish, people in Thrissur love to tuck into a sumptuous meal.

Hero hotel

Where Thalassery meets Kochi

It is difficult to take away beef and tapioca from the collective psyche of a Malayali. Hero hotel near the city post office is where you head for the most delicious combos of this meal. The memory of the sumptuous and sinful beef dishes will linger in your mind and the same applies to the various tapioca dishes too. If you are someone who loves non-vegetarian dishes, a trip to Thrissur should include a visit to this restaurant.

Hamara Hotel

This is where Kochi started its romance with chili pork and schezwan chicken

A meal in this hotel is incomplete without their yummy pork fry. That does not mean that you should not try out the other non-vegetarian dishes here. Do try the fried rice and biriyanis here.

Akshaya

Puttu kozhi

Thrissur locals swear by this restaurant for the typical fusion food of puttu with chicken (puttu kozhi) and appam with chicken. Head here for breakfast, and you can thank us later.
