Sakshi Malik, the 23 year old wrestler who rekindled India's medal dreams at Rio had a simple dream while she was growing up. She wanted to fly in an aeroplane. And she talked about it in one of the press briefings after her win.
Air India has come up with an heartwarming gesture. Air India chairman and managing director Ashwani Lohani has made her a surprising and fantastic offer. Sakshi and a companion can take a trip to any international destination Air India serves within the next one year. "As a mark of our recognition and gratitude for your outstanding achievement in the Rio Olympics, Air India is proud to offer you two (for you and your companion) return business class tickets between any two destinations on the entire Air India network valid for a period of one year," reads Lohani's letter.
