Dharmoos Fish Hub opened by actor Dharmajan Bolgatty has become incredibly popular within just a short while itself. Following him, film producer Shaji Nadesan too has opened a restaurant, in the capital city, which is dedicated to the seafood dishes. Malsya, an exclusive seafood restaurant functions at Kesavadasapuram near the MG College. Shaji Nadesan is known for bankrolling super hit movies like Urumi and Theevandi.
A self confessed seafood lover, Shaji Nadesan has opened Malsya to serve some of the most authentic and delicious fish dishes. More than a business venture, his love for fresh seafood and unique flavours, is what motivated the producer to try his hands in it.
Freshly caught fish is purchased every morning and evening from Neendakara and Vizhinjam which are popular harbours. There is a fish stall adjacent to the restaurant from where we can choose the fish, which will be specially cooked for us.
The ‘chutta’ meen or roasted fish is their special item. Local dishes like chatty choru and shappile meen curry (toddy shop style fish curry) too are popular dishes served at the restaurant. One can enjoy the fresh seafood delicacies at Malsya even up to 12 in the midnight.
