The panorama of Palakkayam Thattu is mesmerising when viewed from the top of Pythal hill. The valley of the Palakkayam Thattu is lined by rubber and cocoa trees planted by the migrants from central Kerala. And because the valley is inhabited mainly by people from Kottayam, the place is also called as Kottayam Thattu.
