Beat the summer heat with a trip to Ezhattumugham

If you are looking to get away from the scorching summer heat, quaint and serene Ezhattumugham in Ernakulam district of Kerala, with its cool breeze and beautiful river is a hotspot you shouldn’t miss.

The hanging bridge under the Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) is also an attraction in the Ezhattumugham tourism village, which is a great tourism spot for anyone who want to spend a day with nature at its best.

Tourists who arrives at the other side of the river at Thumboormuzhy also travel to Ezhattumugham to enjoy its charm.  From Thumboormuzhy park, one has to take a bridge to reach Ezhattumugham tourism village.

It is also a favourite spot for various kind of butterflies.  It is the face of the river from which it separates into seven streams giving the place the name Ezhattumugham . During summer, the water in the river remains low and tourists prefer to enjoy bath in the nearby streams.

DTPC has undertaken various beautification works including laying of new tiles on the pathway and construction of more seating arrangements. Fifty thousand rupees was earmarked for various tourism development of the tourism village.
